Vegetarian/Vegan Diets: Good Or Bad For Brain Health?
Plus: how to avoid being burned out by Tuesday

Good afternoon đ
Remember: itâs not about the calories in your food; itâs about the food in your calories! At least: for most people most of the time, nutrient density matters a lot more than calorie count.
In todayâs email we cover vegetarian/vegan diets and brain health, avoiding burnout, and improving lymphatic health.
Weâve written before about the danger of PFAS, but what to do about these âforever chemicalsâ when theyâre seemingly everywhere? Todayâs sponsor The Filtery has a 5-day educational course to learn how to spot the worst offenders, avoid âgreenwashingâ (when sellers merely go for an environmentalist aesthetic rather than actually changing their processes) and reduce exposure in food, water, and everyday products. As a bonus, 10almonds readers get 50% off with code 10ALMONDS đ
Todayâs Main Feature
Vegetarian/Vegan Diets: Good Or Bad For Brain Health?Itâs well-established that most people should eat more plants, and generally speaking, less meat. But what about abstaining from meat completely? And what about abstaining from all animal products? |

One-Minute Book Review
10 Powerful Tips To Improve Lymph Flow â by Laurel West
The lymphatic system is a large part of the bodyâs âclean-upâ system, as well having an important role in fighting cancer specifically. As such, while it doesnât get nearly as much popular attention as our circulatory system or our nervous system, say, it is critically important.
The author, a massage therapist, knows her stuff when it comes to lymph, and shows that here.
As this is a very lean book, weighing in at a mere 87 pages, you can imagine it gets straight to the point.
So will we! The titular â10 powerful tipsâ are:
Drink water
Matcha meditation
Breathwork
Dry brushing
Hydrotherapy
Stretching
Sweating
Lymphatic facial massage
Advanced lymphatic massage
Anti-inflammatory diet
Of course, she does explain each of those; some are more obvious than others; âdrink waterâ takes less explanation than âadvanced lymphatic massageâ, say.
The style is, as you might expect, concise. Itâs more of a primer than a textbook, and it does communicate its ideas clearly.
Bottom line: if youâd like to manage your lymph better, this book is an excellent way to get started.
